Orbitz.Com Enhances Car Booking Experience As Easy As 1 - 2 - 3

New Features, Including Automatic Registration, Help Travelers Save Time When Booking a Rental Car

Chicago, December 6, 2005 – Orbitz, the faster, easier way to find the trip you want, today introduced a new condensed car booking path. Booking a rental vehicle on and is now even simpler for their customers. Travelers who book a rental car on Orbitz and Cheaptickets will be able to complete the transaction in just three easy steps. Orbitz and CheapTickets are the only major online travel agencies that enable consumers to complete a rental car booking in the following three steps:

1. The customer enters initial search criteria on the homepage; Car results are displayed in the Car Matrix, which discloses total pricing, including all taxes and fees.

2. The customer reviews car options and chooses the car rate they want, then clicks to advance to the "Review and Purchase" page.

3. The customer reviews the car rental purchase details, enters renter contact and purchase information, and clicks the "confirm reservation" button to finalize the purchase, all on one page.

A significant new feature in the Orbitz and CheapTickets car booking paths is the debut of automatic registration, eliminating the need for unregistered travelers to leave the booking path to become a registered user. Orbitz' new car booking path gives travelers the ability to automatically register as part of the booking process without being directed to a separate screen.

The awards program was designed by Keynote Systems to honor Web sites across a broad range of leading vertical industries that perform best overall on Keynote's Web transaction performance indices and competitive intelligence studies that evaluate Web site service levels and customer experience.
