May the Biggest Cheapskate Win: CheapTickets.com Challenges Travelers to 'Show Us Your Cheap' for a Chance to Win a Vacation and Be Featured In an Advertising Campaign

Survey Reveals the Majority of Vacationers Are Willing to Sacrifice to Save

CHICAGO, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- How far are travelers really willing to go to save or get a free trip? According to a recent survey fielded by CheapTickets.com http://www.cheaptickets.com/, three-quarters of vacationers said they would gladly sacrifice their seats to receive a free airline ticket.

Applauding the savvy saving habits of travelers and proving there's no shame in thriftiness, CheapTickets is offering the ultimate challenge: submit travel stories, tips and money-saving tricks that Show Us Your Cheap, for a chance to win a vacation for four and to be featured in an upcoming advertising campaign!

The Show Us Your Cheap travel contest will run from March 10 - March 31, 2008. Four grand prize winners may be featured in CheapTickets' print and radio advertising and online at CheapTickets.com. In addition, they may also win an "Ultimate Vacation Package" -- a five-day, four-night getaway for four, including air, hotel and car rental, to the winners' destination of choice anywhere in the continental United States.

"Show Us Your Cheap builds on the foundation of the CheapTickets 'Real People' ad campaign which has always focused on travelers taking pride in finding a great deal," said Tom Russell, Group VP of Brand Marketing for CheapTickets. "Our goal with Show Us Your Cheap is to take 'Real People' to the next level by allowing deal-savvy travelers to share their own value travel stories in a national forum."

To enter, participants simply visit http://www.cheaptickets.com/yourstory and follow the instructions to upload a photograph of themselves, family or friends on vacation, along with a personal story (500 words or less) that shows how they save money when they travel and how those savings enhanced their overall travel experience.(1)
