Orbitz Recognized as “Top Producing Online Travel Agency” by South African Tourism

Ubuntu Awards Honor Outstanding North America Trade Partners in Business and Leisure Travel

CHICAGO, April 30, 2012 –, one of the largest online travel sites in the world, was recently honored as the “Top Producing Online Travel Agency” by South African Tourism, the official tourism board for South Africa, at the third annual Ubuntu Awards recognizing top trade partners in North America for their outstanding support in promoting and developing tourism to South Africa.  The award stems from an extremely successful partnership between Orbitz and South African Airways designed to increase visitors to South Africa and enhance consumer knowledge of the country’s rich and diverse offerings.  The partnership also contributed to South African Airways being named the “Best Airline to South Africa” at the ceremony.
